The Redline Project is a news website created by students and faculty at DePaul University in 2010. The website breaks down its stories by their location and proximity to redline el stops.
I wrote a feature story on Edgewater Artists in Motion — an organization that seeks to beautify the Edgewater community by placing local artists’ works in vacant storefront windows. I also photographed many of the artwork displays and comprised a slideshow within the article.
As an animal lover, I loved reporting on the Red Door Animal Shelter in Rogers Park. The no-kill shelter provides adoption services for a wide variety of animals.
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Edgewater cafe Kitchen Sink, I wrote a feature piece and produced an audio slideshow detailing its history.
